Indian Premier League IPL 2011 - Fixtures and Schedule | IPL 4 T20

Indian Premier League 2011 is all setup to begin after the Cricket World Cup from 8th of April. IPL 4 will get its new winner on 28th of May after the final match played on Chennai. The tournament consisting 10 teams will feature all together 74 matches. Two new teams Kochi and Pune are included in this fourth version of IPL Twenty20 tournament.

The participating 10 teams are:
KKR - Kolkata Knight Riders
RCB - Royal Challengers bangalore
MI - Mumbai Indians
DD - Delhi Daredevils
RR - Rajasthan Royals
KXIP - Kings XI Punjab
CSK - Chennai Super Kings
DC - Deccan Chargers
ICK - Indi Commandos Kochi
PW - Pune Warriors

ICC Cricket World cup 2011 is underway. 14 teams including the test nations and ICC associates are playing in the series. The tournament features group-stage matches, then round of 8, semi-finals and finals. The first stage features 2 groups - A and B of 7 teams each. The top 4 teams from each group advance to next stage. So, the points table plays a vital role.

Defending champion Australia will start their World Cup campaign today, where they take on promising Zimbabwe side. The fourth match in the cup and only the match for the day will be played at Ahmedabad as D/N match.

Though Australia were brilliant in the home series against England, they lost both their warm-up matches. Aussies will surely want some experiment in the side before they clash will the big teams later in the Cup. But its always harsh to under-estimate the Zimbabwe team.
