After a fiery start, India slowed at middle and managed a score of 279/9 in 50 overs. Yuvraj Singh made a superb comeback and scored 74 runs. Sehwag opened the inning firing from the first ball and scored 47. Jadeja and Raina finished it for India. Welegedara was the pick of Lankan bowlers as he took 5 wickets.
