ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 - Countdown begins Posted: 11 Nov 2010 01:51 AM PST The 100-day countdown for Cricket World cup 2011 has begun from Tuesday after South African players Dale Steyn and Morne Morkel displayed the World cup Trophy in Dubai aquarium. The opening ceremony will be held in Dhaka, Bangladesh in February 17. India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are jointly hosting the tournament. With 14 nations and 49 matches, World cup is cricket's biggest tournament. The tournament from February 19 to April 2 will be a 43-day tournament with 50-over matches. More about the World cup: |
