India vs New Zealand 1st ODI 2010 - Live

Posted: 26 Nov 2010 03:43 AM PST

After a 1-0 win for India in test series, India and New Zealand battle in the 5-match ODI series starting 28th November. India wants to continue with the winning momentum which they gained in the test series.

India last played the ODI in final of tri-series which they lost to Sri Lanka. They had defeated New Zealand in the tri-series to reach final. New Zealand on the other hand lost their recent ODI series against Bangladesh 4-0. Recent form and home advantage obviously makes India the favorites for the 1st ODI.

MS Dhoni is rested and Gautam Gambhir will lead the Indian side. Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag too will not play in the match. It seems a young brigade with responsibility over players like Gambhir, Raina, Nehra and Yuvraj. New Zealand on the other hand will miss in-form Ryder for the match.
