After the T20 match, India and West Indies now play the 1st T20 at Trinidad on June 6. Suresh Raina will be captaining the Indian team while Darren Sammy will lead the Caribbean team. Both teams are composed of young sides. The T20 was an exciting match with a great competition between the teams. We can expect a more competing One-day match on Monday.

The India vs West Indies 2011 series has started with the T20 match played at Trinidad on Saturday 4th June, 2011. West Indies winning the toss chose to field first. India has won the match by 16 runs. India managed to score 159 runs in 20 overs thanks to quickfire innings at the last by Badrinath, Rohit, Yousuf and Harbajan. In reply West Indies only managed 143 runs in 20 overs loosing 5 wickets.

After 20 overs, India - 159/6
West Indies 143/5

Darren Sammy has so far become the hero of the match taking 4 wickets 4 overs giving just 16 runs. Badrinath made 43 runs for India and got the man of the match. Rohit Sharma made 26 while Pathan and Harbajan Singh made 15 runs each.
