IPL 2010 has kicked off and the league will be double round-robin first and finally the knockout. Each team will play 14 matches in league stage and 4 top will qualify for the semi-finals and will advance to finals. There will also be third-place play off. Here is the latest points table of IPL 2010.

A team gets 3 points for winning a match and 1 point to each team will be awarded in case of no results. In case of tie, the position is adjusted by seeing the net run rate. You can find more on net run rate in our page.

Deccan got a bad start to IPL 3 with the loss in the first match. Bowling seemed brilliant at first but were not just able to bowl properly at the death overs. On the other hand, batsmen look miserable. Having got a good start, others especially the Indian domestic players couldn't carry on. Chennai will be having playing the first match of IPL 3 and they have s great batting lineup with Hayden, Dhoni and Raina.

Deccan is likely to play with the same overseas players which they played against KKR. Vaas seemed great, Gilchrist is definite and so are Gibbs and Symonds. Chennai misses 3 overseas players the most notable being Makhaya Ntini. Absence of players is not a great misery for them.

After the tight survival from the 1st game of IPL 2010 back in India, Knight Riders are all set to play against the last year's finalist Royal Challenger's Bangalore. Anil Kumble's team is playing their first match in this season's IPL. KKR hasve shown they are fighting very hard from the 1st match and they would like to continue their winning streak for long. Bangalore were superb in the IPL 2009 at South Africa and would love to go hard this time again.

Playing the first match this season, its quite crucial to how the team performs for RCB. All the South African's out of International duty Bangalore has options with foriegn players. New comer England's Eoin Morgan will surely be tested for IPL. Kallis, Boucher, Merwe and Steyn will be other players and one has to be dropped. Dravid will be desperate with other local boys Manish Pandey, Uthappa, Kohli and Praveen Kumar.

Batting-led 1st match victory for the KKR team will have to focus in bowling department. Locals doing well and if the overseas players goes on like 1st match that will be great for the team. If Ajit Agarkar is fit then only that could be change rather they would go with the same winning team.

Captain Gautam Gambhir played a captain's knock as Delhi Daredevils defeated the Punjab team by 5 wickets in the match played in Chandigarh. Chasing the target of 143 runs DD made 146-5 in 19.5 overs. Winning the toss, DD getting to bowl got early wickets. Ravi Bopara played a god knock of half-century. Nannes and Maharoof picked 2 wickets each. In reply, Gambhir scored 72 runs whereas Manthas get them to home with 30*.

Kings XI Punjab : 142/9 in 20 overs
Delhi Daredevils :146/5 in 19.5 overs.
