Pune and Kochi - the new teams for IPL 2011 | IPL 4

Pune and Kochi have been unveiled as the new teams of Indian Premier League (IPL). With this the total no. of teams playing IPL will now be 10 for IPL 4. Pune has been bought by Sahara Adventure Sports Group for $370 miliion. While Kochi has been grabbed by Rendezvous Sports World Limited for $333.3 million. IPL disclosed the two teams on March 21 in Chennai after the process had been postponed on March 7.

All the other 8 teams were bought in IPL 2008 where the most expensive one was Mumbai Indians. Mumbai was bought by Mukesh Ambani for $111.9 million. The prices of other teams are as follows:

* Mumbai Indians – Mukesh Ambani – $111.9 m
* Royal Challengers Bangalor – Vijay Mallya – $111.6 m
* Deccan Chargers– T Venkatram Reddy – $107.01 m
* Chennai Super Kings – N Srinivasan – $91 m
* Delhi Daredevils – GM Rao – $84 m
* Kings XI Punjab – Preity Zinta – $76 m
* Kolkata Knight Riders– SRK – $75.09 m
* Rajasthan Royals – Manoj Badale – $67m

RCB has won the IPL 2010 match against MI by 7 wickets on March 20, 2010. Batting first Mumbai made 151 5 batsmen scoring the 20s with no one getting above it. Bangalore bowlers were highly economic especially Dale Steyn who took 3 wickets and had economy of 6.5



In reply, RCB got superb start again with Manish Pandey and Jacques Kallis. Pandey made 40 while Kallis became not out on 66 runs. Zaheer was economic but rest of the bowlers didn't have good figures and the match was won by Bangalore easily.
