MS Dhoni will miss some IPL matches

MS Dhoni is injured during the chennai vs Kolkata match on March 16. Dhoni guided the team to the victory with his cracking 66 not out off 33 balls. He was declared man of the match.

According to the team official, Dhoni will miss some upcoming matches of IPL 2010 where Suresh Raina will replace Dhoni as the Chennai's captain. Chennai will play Delhi in March 19 as their next match.

Dhoni was hit hard on the arm by the rising delivery of Shane Bond. But Dhoni continued batting and kept the gloves on behind the wickets during they dismissed Kolkata for 109 runs only.



The physio will confirm the injury and will fix the date for his return on March 21. Chennai will miss their perfect captain and most reliable batsman. Chennai were defeated in the first match of IPL 2010 and got victory on the second match only.

Chennai Super Kings also got their first point in IPL 3 by defeating the Kolkata by 55 runs. Struggling Chennai recovered with the not out innings of captain Dhoni scoring 66* with Badrinath 43*. Chennai were able to post the target of 163 in 20 overs losing 3 wickets. Chennai bowlers bowled extremely well as all of them contributed.

The last year's finalist got their firstpoint on IPL 3 in their second game defeating Punjab by huge margin of 8 wickets. Batting, first Punjab thrashed a target of 203-3 in 20 overs. Operners Bopara and Bisla gt 129 runs patnership that made Punjab strong to defend the total. In reply, South African Kallis played a great innings chasing the mountains of runs with 7 balls to spare. Kallis made 89 not out whereas Uthhapa made 51 runs.
