Kolkata Knight Riders were placed 4th in IPL 2011 and were lucky to have chances to play in Nokia Champions League T20 2011. Shahrukh Khan's KKR were again successful in the qualifiers of CLT20 2011. Apart fro having same points as Ruhuna, KKR were little bit ahead in points table. This is the first time KKR are in this tournament and wanted to win any trophy for the first time. After the qualfying stage now Kolkata are placed in Group B with Somerset, Bangalore, Warriors and South Australia. KKR squad for Nokia Champions League T20 2011 : Gautam Gambhir, the KKR captain is still unknown for the Nokia CLT20 mtches. Tilll the qualifier Jacques Kallis captained the side. It has been said that Gambhir's state will be informed in the opening ceremony taking place at September 22. Here is Kolkata's team:

ICC has confirmed the all the dates and fixtures of ICC World Twenty20 also known as T20 World Cup 2012. The tournament is scheduled to start from September 18 which will feature all together 12 international teams. The teams will be 10 test-playing nations and 2 teams from the qualifying stage to be played later at UAE. Altogether there will be 26 matches played with 2 semis and 1 finals. Sri Lanka has confirmed that the matches will be played at Colombo, Pallekele and Hambantota. In the first round there will be 4 groups consisting 3-teams in each. The top 2 teams from each group will qualify for the next stage. Next stage will be categorized into two preliminary groups of 4 teams each. Here is the complete schedule for ICC T20 World Cup 2012 :

After the white-wash at home England will travel to India for 5 matches and one T20 internationals. The series begins after the completion of Champions League T20 2011 which is taking place at India. Before the internationals English team will play the warm-ups at Hyderabad but still the teams are unknown. The dates of warm-ups are scheduled as 8th and 11th of October. Only the final moment in the last game of Qualifiers in Nokia Champions league finalized the two out of three teams playing in Champion League 2011 group stage starting from September 23. Both Somerset and Kolkata has qualified from the same pool. Kolkata had same pints as that of Ruhuna in another pool. It was Kolkata had to make at least 154 runs to qualify whereas they needed 167 to win against the Somerset. At the end they managed to get 155 runs in 20 overs. Kolkata had the run rate -0.225 and Ruhana ended the qualifiers with net run-rate -0.275. Earlier Ruhuna defeated another country team Leicester by some margin of 4 runs. They had to wait for the 8PM match for their fate in CLT20 2011. Unfortunate for them, they would have wished for more marginal victory over the Kolkata by Somerset. Yesterday,Trinidad and Tobago was already ensured of increasing their length of stay at India. On the other hand, Auckland Aces of New Zealand had lesser stay in the South Asian nation. Its now the Sri Lankan Ruhuna Eleven and English Leicester Foxes going back to home. Nokia CLT20 2011 starts officially with the opening ceremony on September 22. Its a day after the end of the qualifying stage and a day before the 1st Group-stage match. The champions League opening ceremony is to be held at Bangalore. All the teams playing the Champions League T20 2011 will be there in the opening ceremony.
