India has won the 1st ODI of 5-match series showing how fortunes can be changed when they are on their home ground. It wasn't even a close encounter as India dominated the game completely winning by 126 runs. Winning the toss, Indian batsmen initially failed but Dhoni, Raina and others at middle order chipped in and scored quick runs at the last making 300 runs in 50 overs. In reply, England got all out on 174 in just 36.1 overs.

England 174 all out in 36.1 overs. - Cook 60, Trott 26, Jadeja 34 / 3
