Highlights of India vs England 5th ODI 2011 at Kolkata [video]

India have managed to score 271 loosing 8 wickets in the 5th ODI against England. Thanks to yet another splendid inning from captain Dhoni who made 75 not out. Almost all batsmen apart from Kohli got some start but were unable to convert them to big score. Dhoni did the job and finished the inning brilliantly.

India - 271 / 8 in 50 overs

England won the toss and opted to field. India dropped Parthiv Patel and included Manoj Tiway in the team while England brought Ian Bell into the side because of injury to Pietersen. India got a steady start with Gambhir and Rahane. Being 80/0 in 70 overs, they were suddenly 80/3 in 19th over. Tiwary and Raina made steady progress but got out on their twenties and thirties. Dhoni then made important partnership with Jadeja and the tail-enders to reach the total. He smashed 3 fours and 4 sixes as he made 75 not out of 69 balls. India made 41 runs in last two overs of the inning.

The final ODI of the England in India 2011 is to be held at Kolkata today. India has a chance to whitewash the series with a win while England would like to win the match and protect itself from further humiliation. Indian batsmen and spinners are in top form. Dhoni, Gambhir, Kohli, Ashwin and Jadeja have shown great form in every match. Raina was superb in previous match. Apart from Parthiv Patel who has been ordinary, others have proved themselves.

India are likely to drop Parthiv Patel and give chance to player like Manoj Tiwary who is also a local boy of Kolkata. England on the other hand too may some changes. Ian Bell who hasn't played in any match of the series may be given chance to play in any match of the series may be in. Ravi Bopara who has so far been ordinary can be dropped. The match is to be played at Eden Garden. Though the result doesn't affect the series, we can expect a huge crowd. The pitch may be somewhat slower compared to that at Mumbai.
