India vs South Africa - Highlights of 1st test 2010 Posted: 06 Feb 2010 04:47 AM PST The 1st test between India and South Africa has started in Nagpur. South Africa won the toss and chose to bat first. Its now the end of day 1 and they are in a fully commanding position. With loss of just two wickets South Africa have made 291/2 with both Kallis and Amla getting century each. Day 1 Highlights: India got a superb start with Zaheer taking two wickets of both openers within 7 overs. But the nightmare for bowlers began as Jacques Kallis and Hasim Amla rescued the team and took them to a very commanding position. Kallis made 159 runs on Day 1 and Hasim Amla is on 115 both being not out. Though Zaheer took two wickets, another pacer Ishant was not very good. Neither were the two spinners Mishra and Harbajan Singh. It felt great to watch Kallis batting so beautifully.
