Dilshan: I was a little disappointed with my batting earlier when I got starts and didnt continue. When I was the captain I wasn’t under pressure I was just going through a lean patch. I am happy I did so today. I am really enjoying batting with Mahela, and we put up good partnerships at the top and run very hard. I think we are plying very good cricket. I think we have an advantage in the final because this wicket has been playing quite slow.

Dilshan is the Man of the Match

Mahela: I was disappointed with the fielding, we were dropping catches like hot potatoes. We batted well though, we got off to a very positive start. I was upset with the no ball, I have no issues with the decision, I just had a problem with the fact that they took so long for making the decision. Michael Clarke had a quiet little word with the umpire which is not the way to go. Anyway I have been fined and if I get paid I shall give them 10 percent. Dilshan has been playing very well so far, with the bat and the ball. Hopefully he can continue that into the final game as well. No one gave us a chance when we came to Australia but we have fought very hard. Hopefully we can execute our plans well in the final

Clarke: I injured my hamstring today, I should have taken more rest perhaps. I think we didn’t score enough runs on a good batting wicket and we didn’t bowl very well either. On a good batting wicket against a good and strong batting opposition you need to go for it early and make at least 300. The guys are working hard you can’t hold anything against them and we haven’t been able to execute our plans well enough

Bangladesh announce squad for Asia Cup 2012 without naming skipper

Former captain Mashrafe bin Moratza has been recalled to the 14-man Bangladesh squad for the Asia Cup cricket tournament to be held in Dhaka from March 11 to 22.

Even as they recalled Mortaza, the Bangladesh selectors have dropped explosive opener Tamim Iqbal from the squad, which was announced late last night.

Apart from Iqbal, the selectors have also dropped three other players of the 15-man squad, which played in the home one-day series against Pakistan in December last year.

Besides Mortaza, the selectors have also brought back Nazimuddin, Jahurul Islam, Shahadat Hossain and Anamul Haque into the squad.

While Mortaza led the Dhaka Gladiators to victory in the inaugural T20 Bangladesh Premier League, Iqbal played only two games for the Chittagong Kings due to a groin injury.

The selectors, however, did not announce the names of the captain and the vice-captain of the team.

Bangladesh will face Pakistan in the opening match of the competition at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur on Sunday.

Michael Clarke: I had a horrible tour in South Africa where I did not win a single toss. David Warner is 100% fine and he will open the batting. McKay replaces Hilfenhaus. I am excited about the final.

Mahela: I would have bowled first and I back the team to chase it down. It is a fresh wicket and we have gone in with an extra batsman today to chase. The Melbourne chase took a lot out of the boys and we did not execute the plans at Brisbane. Kapugedera replaces Dhammika Prasad.

In the last five ODIs played by Australia at the Adelaide Oval, they have won three and lost two.
