Preview: England vs West Indies, 1st ODI, Southampton, 2012 Posted: 15 Jun 2012 01:04 PM PDT
West Indies definitely want something to take away from the tour and ODI series looks to be one spot where they can definitely get it. With Chris Gayle top the order along with Marlon Samuels, Tino Best they definitely seems to be a good team to give a tough fight to England.
England on the other hand have called Ian Bell and Ravi Bopara in the ODI team. Alistair Cook and Jonathan Trott on top are a top class batsman and getting their wickets will be crucial for West Indies. KP will be definitely be missed looking upon a superb form in IPL 2012. But still England have a great line up to tackle West Indies. They already beat the visitors in Test and are high on confidence. One thing is certain both teams have their own batting or bowling issues so all hands up who is playing better on the final day. West Indies will definitely try hard as they are already down on the tour and getting a win in 1st ODI will definitely boost the team confidence. It will be interesting to see how Gayle performs after a long break. Match Timings: 10:45 local | 09:45 GMT | 15:15 IST Teams England (possible) 1 Alastair Cook (capt), 2 Ian Bell, 3 Jonathan Trott, 4 Ravi Bopara, 5 Eoin Morgan, 6 Craig Kieswetter (wk), 7 Tim Bresnan, 8 Stuart Broad, 9 Graeme Swann, 10 James Anderson, 11 Steve Finn |
