Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka 3rd ODI Post Match Presentation – 28 Mar 2013 #BanvSL

Mushfiqur Rahim: ‘It was a challenge for us to play good cricket against a top team. We are learning. Some guys were panicking in the chase. We have not been in these situations before but it was important that we got through that. Nasir is a great player. He’s been in very good form. Hope he carries it forward and so does the team.’

Mathews: ‘Obviously disappointed. We had the runs on the board. The bowling let us down. We lost our way in the middle while batting but we still had the runs. Kulasekara had an off day today but we all know he’s a very good player. He was the Man of the series in Australia.’

Dilshan: ‘ I’m in great form. I carried it forward from the Tests. I think this is one of the best wickets in Sri Lanka. I worked with Marvan on a few issues. It worked for me and it’s showing. Thanks to Marvan and the coaching staff.’

Dilshan is the Man of the Match for his century today despite it going in vain. He is also the Man of the series.

Toss: Sri Lanka have won the toss and elected to bat

Mathews: ‘The pitch looks good and hard. We will put the runs on the board. We are not worried about the weather. It depends on the wicket and we need to adapt to the conditions. Our team is unchanged. 300 plus would be ideal.’

Rahim: ‘We would have batted well. The wicket is hard and it looks good for batting. The weather is also one of the factors. We want to fight against every team but we have not managed to get results our way. Shahadat Hossain replaces Rubel Hossain.’

Teams:
Sri Lanka (Playing XI): Kushal Janith Perera, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Kumar Sangakkara(w), Dinesh Chandimal, Lahiru Thirimanne, Angelo Mathews(c), Jeevan Mendis, Thisara Perera, Nuwan Kulasekara, Sachithra Senanayake, Lasith Malinga

Pitch Report: It is a hot day. It is a hard pitch and there is large covering of grass. There will be even bounce on offer. The pacers can expect extra pace and bounce from this track. Dew will play a big factor as the game progresses.
