Pune Warriors vs Rajasthan Royals Post Match Presentation – IPL 2013 #PWIvsRR #RR #PWI Posted: 11 Apr 2013 11:00 AM PDT Finch: ‘We knew we had to get off to a good start. This wicket was going to get slower as the game progressed. Uthappa’s blazing 32 set the game nicely for us. We sat down and had a chat with the coach regarding our approach. The bowlers did a great job to pull things back after the partnership between Dravid and Rahane.’ Aaron Finch is the MoM for his knock of 64 off 53 balls. Mathews: ‘We needed this win badly. We were good on the field and the bowlers bowled well at the end. The aggressive approach paid off in the batting. We have worked hard in the training sessions. We backed Finch and he did a brilliant job. We were a bit too cautious in the first two games but we were aggressive today.’ Dravid: ‘We kept losing wickets and we could not accelerate at the right time. We lost Rahane, Binny and myself at crucial times. We were 15 runs short but the Pune openers started off wonderfully. A couple of boys played against Finch and we had information on him. There are four-five power players in their top order and they clicked today. We have to learn from our mistakes.’

Rajasthan Royals wins toss, opts to bat vs Pune Warriors – IPL 2013 #PWIvsRR #RR #PWI Posted: 11 Apr 2013 07:25 AM PDT Toss: Rajasthan have won the toss and elected to bat Dravid: ‘We have played well as a team. It was nice to win a couple of close games. We are yet to play our best game. We have done our research on all the pitches. The pict has played a bit slow and low. The pitch has some grass and sheen and it will play a bit better. We will bat first. The pitch will get slower as the game progresses. It is still early days in the tournament and we need to be on a roll. There are a couple of niggles and injuries. Watson, Tait and Rahul Shukla miss out. Harmeet Singh, James Faulkner and Kushal Janith Perera are in the team.’ Mathews: ‘We have to get the ball rolling. Our performance last time was depressing. We have to put in an improved performance and we are ready. We have good players. We were a bit too cautious in the last two games. I was unsure what to do if we won the toss. We would have bowled first as the wicket seems a bit two-paced. Marlon Samuels and Manish Pandey are out. Aaron Finch and Yuvraj Singh are in the team’ Teams: Rajasthan (Playing XI): Ajinkya Rahane, Kushal Janith Perera, Rahul Dravid(c), Brad Hodge, James Faulkner, Stuart Binny, Dishant Yagnik(w), Kevon Cooper, Siddharth Trivedi, S Sreesanth, Harmeet Singh
Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Kolkata Knight Riders Post Match Presentation IPL 2013 #KKR #RCB Posted: 11 Apr 2013 07:02 AM PDT Chris Gayle: ‘Overall the team effort was wonderful. Bowlers did well at the death. You can put the boundary wherever you want, I will take the challenge. I love the crowd in Bangalore. They are wonderful and keep me going. The staff has been wonderful as well.’ No suprises. Chris Gayle is the Man of the Match. Virat Kohli: ‘What is done on the field is done. Other than that great game for us. Good vibe in the team right now. You got to ask Chris Gayle what he is feeling on the day. When he is leaving the ball the opposition needs to worry more than when he is hitting them. We can take this confidence forward in the next few games. Gambhir: ‘It happens in the heat of the moment. You don’t need to carry it off the field. No love lost. I thought 160 was a good total and we were playing 5 bowlers. But all credit to Chris. Hopefully we can turn it around from now. It’s pressure when you are batting first, you are always chasing that 160-170. We have got a quality side and hope we can turn it around.’

Royal Challenger Bangalore wins toss, opts to field vs Kolkata Knight Riders – IPL 2013 #KKR #RCB Posted: 11 Apr 2013 03:04 AM PDT Toss: Bangalore have won the toss and elected to field Virat Kohli: We have deicded to bowl first, just a little of grass on the wicket, any early moisture we’ll try to use it to get early wickets and put them under pressure. Kolkata are a strong side, they won the league last year. It will be great to get a win tonight and make the local crowd happy on Ugadi. We have made one change, KL Rahul replaces Murali Karthik in the side. We are eager to play this game hopefully we’ll pull this off. Gautam Gambhir: We were anyway looking to bat first, yes a happy toss to lose. People have asked us whether we’ll play well on bouncy tracks and I am sure we didn’t win the tournament last time batting on only on slow wickets. We didn’t play well as a batting unit against Rajasthan, we want to win this game and hopefully we’ll do well. We have a couple of changes in the side, Ryan McLaren replaces Brett Lee and Laxmi Shukla makes way for Pradeep Sangwan. Pune Warriors vs Rajasthan Royals IPL Live Streams Online. Watch PWI vs RR Live Streams Online. Pune Warriors had a horrible start to this year IPL with loosing both of their opening games. Pune failed in all department and they seriously need to think on how to get the momentum back. Yuvraj Singh will likely return to squad who missed the last game due to stiff back. Ross Taylor and Marlon Samuels need to up their games. The bowling too wasn’t impressive. Ashok Dinda was smashed for runs and other bowlers also didn’t proved to much threat to the opponent. Rajasthan Royals on the other hand had a dream start. Winning both of their games so far and will be looking for the 3rd one as well when they take on weak Pune Warriors. Rajasthan seems to have all in place for this season. Their batsman are scoring runs and pace attack is simply amazing.

Bangalore vs Kolkata IPL 2013 Live streams Online. Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Kolkata Knight Riders IPL Live Streams Online. Watch RCB vs KKR Live Streams Online. Bangalore will be high on confidence after stunning winning in the last match against the Sunrisers Hyderabad. The positive for RCB was it was Virat Kohli who scored not Chris Gayle. RCB is always termed as one man army with Gayle the only run machine but skipper Virat kohli proved there are other batsman who can score big too. Their bowling too was very effective in the last match especially the two spinners Muttiah Muralitharan and Murali Kartik who didn’t gave batsman to score runs in the middle overs. RCB is expected to go in with the same playing XI against the defending champions KKR. Kolkata have some batting issues to work when they take on Bangalore. Gautam Gambhir is scoring runs but other than none looked to be in form. Jacques Kallis, Manvinder Bisla and Yousuf Pathan have failed to score runs so far. Eoin Morgan made a superb half century thats one psitive for the team. In the bowling too KKR brought in Shami Ahmed in place of L Balaji which is more likely to reverse when they take on Bangalore. Pune Warriors vs Rajasthan Royals – Preview – IPL 2013 #PWI #RR Posted: 10 Apr 2013 02:30 PM PDT Struggling Pune Warriors, with a question mark hanging over the fitness of their impact player Yuvraj Singh, cross swords with high-flying Rajasthan Royals in the Pepsi IPL clash at the Subrata Roy Sahara Stadium on Thursday. The Warriors have lost two matches on the trot by putting up a dismal batting performance. On the other hand, the Royals go into their second away game after recording a clinically executed and morale-boosting 19-run victory over defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders at home, their second win in as many matches.
Therefore, the Warriors are the underdogs going into the clash and their stuttering batting line-up, which includes proven performers at the international level like Yuvraj, Ross Taylor and Marlon Samuels, needs to buck up and start firing. Yuvraj pulled out of Pune`s first home game on April 7 against Kings XI Punjab at the eleventh hour, after flopping in their campaign opener in Hyderabad against new outfit Sun Risers, complaining of a sore back. How and when did he sustain the injury is not known and in his absence, the Warriors were restricted to a paltry 99 for 9 which was easily overhauled by Kings XI. Not only was Yuvraj missed as a main middle-order batsman, the Warriors were also handicapped without his clever left-arm spin bowling in the middle overs against Punjab. However, things are looking brighter now as the dashing player is “feeling a lot better”, said team spokesperson Deep Dasgupta. The Warriors would be eager to get such a key player back on the park at the earliest after suffering successive defeats. Pune have also been undone by the poor form of Taylor and Samuels and this duo needs to contribute significantly if they hope to trip the high-flying Royals who shot to the top of the table after stunning KKR. It`s a surprise why Steve Smith, who was one of their players to shine and topped the batting average with a 40-plus figure in the previous edition and even captained the side in a few games, has not got a game yet. In all likelihood he will replace his under-performing Australian compatriot Mitchell Marsh tomorrow. Warriors were also let down by the opening pair of Robin Uthappa and Manish Pandey in both games. The former got some good starts but failed to continue and provide the ideal platform for the late-order batsmen to capitalise on. Captain Angelo Mathews has also not really made a big impact in the two games and he needs to deliver with both bat and ball against the Royals, along with Abhishek Nayar down the order. The Warriors have a potentially good attack spearheaded by Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, who impressed in the Test series against Australia. The Royals, on the other hand, have won two close games against Delhi Daredevils and the Knight Riders and would be keen not to let the winning momentum get arrested. Skipper Rahul Dravid has shown good touch with a half century against the Daredevils while Ajinkya Rahane has chipped in with useful scores. Stuart Binny, Dravid`s former teammate for Karnataka, has shown his all round prowess a bit and the Royals would be quite pleased with the superb stints of pacers Kevon Cooper in both the matches. With temperamental S Sreesanth, slinger Shaun Tait and Sidharth Trivedi, who bagged three wickets in the game against Knight Riders, also in the mix, Royals have a good pace armoury. But the pace-heavy bowling attack needs to complete its overs quickly, as Dravid will be in even bigger trouble after copping a fine of USD 20,000 for his bowlers not maintaining the required over-rate against the Knight Riders. Teams (from): Rajasthan Royals: Rahul Dravid, Ajinkya Rahane, Shane Watson, Ajit Chandila, Ankeet Chavan, Ashok Menaria, Brad Hogg, Brad Hodge, Dishant Yagnik, Fidel Edwards, Harmeet Singh, James Faulkner, Kevon Cooper, Kumar Boresha, Kushal Perera, Owais Shah, Pravin Tambe, Rahul Shukla, S Sreesanth, Sachin Baby, Samual Badree, Sanju Samson, Shaun Tait, Sreevats Goswami, Siddharth Trivedi, Stuart Binny, Vikramjeet Malik. Pune Warriors: Angelo Mathews (Captain), Yuvraj Singh, Abhishek Nayar, Robin Uthappa, Ross Taylor, Ajanta Mendis, Manish Pandey, Marlon Samuels, Mitchell Marsh, Mithun Manhas, Parveez Rasool, Rahul Sharma, Ali Murtaza, Anustup Mazumdar, Ashok Dinda, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Dheeraj Jadhav, Eklavya Dwivedi, Harpreet Singh, Ishwar Pandey, Kane Richardson, Krishnakant Upadhyay, Luke Wright, Mahesh Rawat, R Gomez, Shrikant Wagh, Steve Smith, T Suman, Tamim Iqbal, Udit Birla, Aaron Finch. |
